The firm
Precise IP is a Shenzhen IP law firm and a CNIPA-registered agency (code 44804), founded in 2013. We are a Chinese IP firm for foreign clients, not a referral desk. Many overseas companies reach Chinese IP work through an agent abroad, who adds a fee and a delay. We cut that out.
Our China IP attorneys work in English and Chinese. Need an English-speaking IP lawyer in China? Your Shenzhen attorney files your applications and reports back in plain English. We are a licensed IP agency in China and a CNIPA patent agency in one team, so there are no handoffs.
We are an INTA member and belong to the AIPPI Chinese Group. We have served 5,000+ clients across 40+ countries. If you are an overseas company looking for an IP lawyer, we will tell you plainly whether we are the right fit.

The lawyers
Our China IP attorneys are qualified patent attorneys, not case handlers. You write to the intellectual property lawyer doing the work, in English. Our patent engineers and international desk back them up on technical drafting and client contact. Here is who you will deal with.
Slim KOU
Slim leads our patent prosecution and litigation work. Over 100 US patent matters have passed through Slim’s hands, and Slim appears before the Chinese IP courts as a qualified litigation agent.
Bian Zhiguo
Bian covers software, telecommunications, and integrated circuits. Before joining Precise IP, Bian worked at King & Wood Mallesons, one of China’s largest firms.
Leah handles biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and new energy filings. In these fields, the technical drafting matters as much as the legal argument.
GUAN Jinxiu
Jinxiu runs the international desk. Most foreign clients speak to Jinxiu first, and Jinxiu keeps English-language matters moving.
Jessie GAO
Jessie handles pharmaceutical, biological, chemical, and food technology filings. That includes the technical translation those cases depend on.
He Tingting
Tingting works on pharmaceutical, chemical, food, and new materials patents. That means drafting and then office action responses, from start to finish.
Where we are
We have people in the places where we file. Not a mailing address and a network of subcontractors. Our Chinese IP attorneys in Shenzhen lead your matter and work with local colleagues in each office.

For foreign companies
English from First Call to Final Report
Looking for an English speaking IP lawyer in China? Our Shenzhen attorneys work in English every day. You ask questions directly. Every report and every official decision reaches you in plain English, with a clear next step.
Bilingual Attorneys Who Read the Chinese
Filings and CNIPA letters are in Chinese. Our bilingual IP lawyers read them firsthand, so nothing is lost in translation. They also explain what each notice means for your business, not only what it says.
One Firm, No Middleman
Many overseas companies reach Chinese IP work through an agent abroad. That agent adds a fee and a layer of delay. We are the licensed Chinese agency (CNIPA code 44804), so an IP lawyer for overseas companies in China works for you directly. No handoffs.
An Easy Way to Hire an IP Lawyer in China
You do not need a Chinese company, partner, or address. Tell us what you want to protect and where. A Shenzhen attorney replies within one business day with a first assessment and a price.
What we do
Direct CNIPA filing with full sub-class strategy and Chinese-character name registration. You work with a trademark attorney in China, in English.
Invention, utility, and design patents. PCT national phase entry into 150+ countries. A patent attorney in China drafts and prosecutes your file.
Registration and enforcement for software, designs, and creative works. Put your rights on record before someone copies your work.
Challenge squatters, or defend your own applications, within the CNIPA window. It is a core part of China IP enforcement for brand owners.
We monitor the CNIPA gazette. An attorney reviews every alert, and each one carries your opposition deadline.
Patent claims and legal documents, Chinese to English and back. Our attorneys translate them in-house.
Why Precise IP
Foreign companies choose Precise IP for one reason: we do the work ourselves. We are a licensed CNIPA agency in Shenzhen, and our bilingual attorneys deal with CNIPA and the Chinese IP courts directly. No offshore intermediary sits between you and your file. You get clear answers in English, named people to ask, and a licence you can check yourself. Six offices back it up.

CNIPA Agency Code
This licence lets us file at CNIPA. Foreign applicants cannot file directly with China’s IP administration, so every filing goes through a licensed agency. Ours is code 44804.
Common questions
Yes. In China, a licensed IP agency files and prosecutes trademark and patent applications with CNIPA. A licensed lawyer represents clients in court. Precise IP is a CNIPA registered agency (code 44804). At the start, we tell you which role handles each part of your matter.
Yes, if the lawyer or agency is licensed. Filings go to CNIPA in Chinese, but you do not need to read or write Chinese. Our bilingual attorneys in Shenzhen explain every step and send you reports and official decisions in plain English.
No. A foreign company can file trademarks and patents in its own name. It must appoint a licensed Chinese agency to act for it, and that is what we do. You do not need a Chinese subsidiary, a local partner, or a Chinese address.
We file directly in seven Asian jurisdictions, from six offices: China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, India, Vietnam and Malaysia. Beyond those we cover 60+ countries through the Madrid System for trademarks and 150+ through PCT national phase entry for patents.
A global firm will usually route your Chinese filing to a local agent anyway, and bill their margin on top. We are that local agent, working for you directly. What you give up is a single invoice covering every continent. What you gain is Chinese attorneys handling Chinese matters daily, at Chinese rates, with nobody between you and CNIPA.
Trademark registration in China is USD 66.38 per class, inclusive of the CNIPA official fee. Invention patent filing starts at USD 842. Litigation, opposition and invalidation work is quoted case by case. We confirm every fee in writing before starting.
Tell us what you want to protect and where. A Shenzhen attorney will reply within one business day with a first assessment and a clear price. You deal with the person doing the work, in English, from the first message to the final report. No middleman abroad, no surprise fees, no pressure to sign.
